We save all egg shells. I microwave them about a minute and a half and then grind fine in the food processor. I add to egg food or when plentiful I feed in a separate dish.

Do you rinse the egg shell off before microwaving them...
I keep an open plastic container and whenever anyone uses an egg, they toss it in the pile. I do not wash them and don't worry as they quickly air dry. About once a week I process them.
