Edible Swings

My birds are enjoying eating on their millet swings that I made by simply fastening two sprays together shaping like a swing and hanging by the top.

They love to nibble and play with the swing. When it is eating on the sides, I lay it down on the floor for them to finish.

Big Bird is enjoying eating our garden squash and squash blossoms (coated with Buddy Roaster and fried).

Hi Linda,
Just a question after the breeding season Did you still use the soy-broccoli recipe this year?
Thanks,
Christel

I love this idea. I miss your daily post! I have 2 yr old yellow American singer that has lost all the feathers around his throat area it started back in early February and is no better. At first it bleed a lttle and had a scab but no more now it is just very red. He doesnt pick at it. What should I do for him? We don't have a bird vet around here so I am on my own. At first I put Neosporin on it. Thank you Janet

I used the frozen soy in the pod and processed it in the food processor and used in the green recipe.

It is great to hear from you. For me, the blog feels like letting people read your diary so when I hear from someone it gets me inspired. I am not an expert on parrots, in fact, seeing one makes my palms sweat! Qualifying my response, I would increase the nutrition especially minerals. I will post today about a new mineral product. Thanks for letting me know someone cares about my posts.
