Egg Shell Quality is Critical To Successful Hatching

Egg shells that are too thin crack and break easily.

Some times the egg is so thin the yolk is visible.

Often the egg either dries out or prematurely indents or breaks with a developing chick inside.

Good shells are firm and smooth.  I use Natural vitamineral, a pigeon product, in all hen cages and when the hen lays her first egg of each clutch, I also start her on avi-tech Cal-D-Solve till she finishes each clutch.
