CALCIUM COCKTAIL TIP:In preparation for breeding season and egg laying, my hens are getting this calcium cocktail. It is a mixture of ABBA Mineral, poultry shell (oyster shell, purchased at a feed store) and hen egg shells. The hen egg shells are microwaved 1 to 2 minutes to sterilize them and then processed in the food processor. It also works well to bake the egg shells instead of microwaving.
